Creating your wedding cake is a collaborative and personalized experience. I’ll listen to your ideas, understand your vision, and bring it to life with care and creativity. Your input shapes every detail, making your cake a unique and meaningful centerpiece for your celebration. Together, we’ll craft something truly special that you’ll always remember.

We recommend reaching out at least 6 to 9 months lead time. To make the most of your design meeting and tasting, please ensure most of the following are ready:​

Having this information ready allows us to start dreaming big for you from the very beginning. If you’re missing a few details, no worries! Feel free to share invitations, images, or inspirations for your design. Include details like your theme, colors, venue, or anything else that sparks creativity. If you love a design from our portfolio, let us know!

Please note that cake sketches and revisions are at our discretion. Gallery and portfolio designs are provided as inspiration, and some past designs may no longer be available due to factors such as season, size, date, and order minimums. If you plan to incorporate fresh flowers into your cake, we recommend meeting with your florist first.​​​

​CONSULTATION+ TASTING
​​
I would be love to welcome you to a tasting appointment at my private studio, where the magic happens! I recommend an in-person tasting as part of your design consultation, allowing you to be directly involved in the process of creating your cake design. If an in-person meeting isn’t feasible, we can arrange a tasting for pickup or local delivery (fees apply).
​
Tastings are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 2 PM (on the hour), as well as occasional Fridays and Saturdays at the same time, depending on availability. Please note that Friday and weekend availability may vary due to production or event commitments.
​
Our tastings are available by special order only, so please book at least one or two full weeks in advance to ensure availability. The earlier, the better!

BOOKING DETAILS​
​
Once your cake design and details are finalized, an estimate will be emailed for your approval, including flavors, servings, reference photos, a cake sketch (if applicable), the contract, and invoice.
​​
A 50% retainer is required to secure your order, along with a signed copy of the cake contract. The remaining balance and any change requests are due four weeks before the event. For orders placed within four weeks of the event date, full payment is required upfront. Your order will be confirmed, and your date reserved once payment is received.

Dessert portion: 1" x 2" x 5" tall.

Coffee portion: 1" x 1: x 5" tall.
For weddings with additional desserts, we recommend coffee portions as a good guide for cake size.​

The portion guide is only an estimate. Actual servings may vary based on how the venue serves or slices the cake. For standard cake servings, it’s generally a good idea to order for 75% to 85% of your guest count, as some guests may not partake in sweets.

PRICING ​
​
All our cakes are fully customized, therefore we don’t have a set price list. Pricing depends on factors like size (diameter and height), design complexity, and finishing details, including decorations such as sugar flowers. Please fill out our contact form with the following details: Event date, guest count, venue, planner's name (if applicable), notes about what you envision for your cake. DELIVERY + SETUP​
​
Delivery + setup start at $50+ and is based distance and location. Deliveries are available Thursday through Sunday, and Monday if it is a holiday weekend. We provide delivery across Southern California, serving the following counties:​ Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Santa Barbara​​​

CAKE STANDS FOR HIRE​
​
We offer a limited selection of cake stands for hire, with prices varying based on size. A security deposit is required. If you don’t see something you like in our collection, I’d be happy to source a stand for you with the option to keep as a special keepsake, and the cost added to your invoice.

Security deposit: $100
Hire fee: $50 per cake stand, depending on size and style.

Cake stands must be returned within 72 hours of your event, as we do not offer a strike service. Your security deposit will be refunded once the stands are returned in their original, clean condition. Please note that a late fee of $50 per day will be deducted from the deposit for each day the stand is not returned, potentially resulting in the forfeit of your deposit.​​
ORDERING / FAQ

​​​​01. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PLACE AN ORDER?
​
As soon as you have a date set or at least:
· 6-8 months+ in advance for weddings (peak season March-June & Sept.-Nov.)
· 2+ months ahead for other celebrations
· FOR TASTINGS, please schedule at least ONE to TWO FULL weeks in advance​
However, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute orders depending on our current availability. For orders placed within one week of the event date, a rush fee will be applied.
​02. ​IS THERE AN ORDER MINIMUM?
​
Yes, for custom orders, there is an order minimum of $350 for celebrations | $1000 for Weddings | $1500 Holiday weekends, not including delivery fee and set-up.

03. HOW MUCH WILL MY CAKE COST?
​​​
Our pricing varies based on the design. As a general guide custom cakes starting at $350+ for a two-tier cake for 35 guests, and goes up from there. We’ll provide you with a quote once we learn more about your vision!

04. DO YOU MAKE FAUX-TIER CAKES IN LIEU OF A REAL CAKE?
​
Yes, we offer faux-tier cakes (minimum 2 tiers). For extra servings, we also provide kitchen cakes—these are large 12"x8" sheet cake (2 layers of cake, 1 layer of buttercream/filling) with minimal decoration, perfect for serving alongside the main cake. *NOTE: Kitchen cakes are not displayed with your centerpiece cake.

05. DO YOU MAKE SUGAR FREE, NUT FREE, VEGAN OR GLUTEN FREE?
​
Unfortunately, no. At this time, we're unable to accommodate special dietary requests, but we’d be happy to recommend bakeries in the area that can. While we offer some cake flavors that don’t contain nuts and take precautions during baking, please note that our kitchen is not nut-free, and we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination.

06. DO YOU DELIVER?
​
Delivery is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and is highly recommended for cakes larger than two-tiers. We offer delivery across Southern California, including the following counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, and Santa Barbara.

07. CAN I PICK UP MY CAKE?
​​
We offer order pickups for cakes for 1 or 2 tiers or desserts orders only. Our cakes are carefully prepared for travel with internal support for stability. For pickups, we suggest placing the cake in the trunk space of your car or on the floor with the air conditioning on high to help keep it cool. Delivery is highly recommended for cakes with multiple tiers due to their weight and fragility. *NOTE: Sweet Pea Cakery LA is not responsible for any damages post-pickup or after onsite setup.

08. DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL SHOP?

Sweet Pea Cakery LA is a licensed boutique bakery located in La Cañada Flintridge, CA, in Los Angeles County. We proudly operate as an online bakeshop under CFO Permit No. LA19F230046.​
